India is the larges user of groundwater in the world. More than 60% of irrigated agriculture and 85% of drinking water supplies are dependent on groundwater. An average person requires 150 to 200 litres of water for daily use. Water consumption keeps the body hydrated. Lack of water can lead to dehydration, it occurs when we don't have enough water in our body to carry on normal functions. Even mild dehydration can loss 1 percent to 2 percent loss of our body weight. In absence of water we may become prey of trachoma, diarrhea, cholera, typhoid and may more.
